ACTION, RESULTS & RENUNCIATION

  1. Let’s start with RENUNCIATION. What does “giving up” really mean? A householder who’s always charitable and internally detached is more renounced than a monk who’s attached to his mattress. Renunciation is a state of mind. For some people Renouncing or detachment brings “fear” in the mind. The opposite of fear is “faith”. When you have implicit “faith” there’s no fear of losing anything. So the question is.. “who do you have faith on?”. A higher source? GOD.

  1. Let’s talk about RESULTS “Results” are the fruit of labour. Everyone works for a particular result – whether it’s health, salary, profits, etc. Sometimes you get good results and sometimes not-so-good results. Yearning for “results” means “expectations”. Expectations sometimes bring “impatience” in our minds. But when have a mindset to “serve”, we don’t get obsessed with results. So there are 3 ways to look at with this: – Work without expectations – When your work is treated a “service” then there’s no question of thinking – Surrender to the process

  1. Now coming to ACTION What goes around comes around. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Your positive actions will bring you positive results. Your negative actions will reap negative results. Simple. But let’s look at another angle. What if there’s an element of LOVE in every action you take. – Love to your people – Love to your community – Love to your country – Love to humanity – Love to God How impactful would your actions be if you were in this state of mind?

So the 3 golden principles to an impactful & fulfilled life are these:

  1. FAITH (to overcome fear) – This makes Renunciation easy

  2. SURRENDER & SERVICE (to overcome expectations) – This makes Results-getting easy

  3. LOVE (to overcome hate) – This makes Action-taking more enjoyable
